This privacy policy is intended to help you understand how CircleGab (“CircleGab”, “us”, “we”) collects and process your data when you use our mobile app, websites or other online products (collectively, “Services”). CircleGab is a firm believer in your right to privacy, and we believe this is reflected in the way we handle your data.

• CircleGab is a public platform, meaning anyone with an account may access any data you choose to share.
• We collect the minimum amount of data for our Services to function.
• We may use your location data, in the event you have granted us the right to use it. We do not collect precise location data, and we don`t keep a history of your locations. Your location data will not be kept for more than 72 hours.
• We do not share your data with any third-parties, unless required by law.
• We only use your data to improve your experience using our Services.
• You have the right to your data, including the right to be fully deleted from our Services.

 

What information We Collect

Information You Provide to Us:

Account Information	When you create an account on CircleGab, your account will have your name, username, birthdate, email, biography and images. Your name, biography and image will be public through our search and connected to the content which you choose to share. We also store any preferences related to your account, this will include default settings set by us during account registration or any settings you might alter in your Account Settings
Content you submit	We collect and store the content you submit to the Services. This includes posts, comments, private messages with other users, reports, disputes and other communication with us. Your content may include text, links, images, videos, gifs and audio.
Your Activity	We collect information about your activity on the Services. This includes your interactions with the platform and it`s content. This may include your likes, dislikes, watch time, interactions with Circles and users you follow or block.
Transactional information	In the event of you purchasing promotions for any of your business Circles, you will have to provide payment information in order to complete the purchase. CircleGab uses “Stripe” as its payment processor, and your payment information will be processed by “Stripe”. These Services are subject to separate terms and conditions and privacy policy.
Other information	You may choose to provide us with addition information in the event you are directly in contact with us. This may include requests to customer support or other requests made to us.

Information We Collect Automatically:

Log and usage data	We may log information when you access and use the Services. This may include you IP address, device information and user-agent string.
Location information	We may receive and process information about your location. We may receive information when you choose to share such information on our Services. or we may derive an approximate location based on your IP address.
Audience measurement	We may collect anonymized usage data in regard to your usage of our Services. This may include user retention, user activity, demographic data, device information, crash- and stability reports.

Information Collected by Third Parties:

• Provide, optimize, target and measure the effectiveness of ads shown on our Services;
• Research and develop new Services;
• Provide customer support;
• Provide you with information about security alerts, updates, invoices and other support messages;
• Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Services.

 

CircleGab Is a Public Platform

Most of the information submitted to our Services is both public and accessible to everyone with an account. By using our Services, you accept that CircleGab is free to share this information with other users. When publishing content to a public part of our Services, this content including your name, your profile image, and time of publishing may be accessible to any users of our Services.

 

How we share information

In addition to information you have provided CircleGab that is publicly displayed, we may share this information in the following ways:

• With your consent or direction.
• With our service providers. Their process of your personal information will be subject to strict confidentiality and security measures. I.e. payment processing, cloud providers who host our data and our Services.
• To comply with the law in the event of legal processes or at government request. Including, but not limited to, meeting nation security or law enforcement requirements. To the extent the law allows it, we will attempt to provide you with prior notice in responds to such requests.
• In the event of an emergency if we believe it’s necessary to prevent imminent and serious bodily harm to a person or animal.
• To protect the rights, property and safety of our Services, ourselves and others.
• Use anonymized or aggregated information about you. I.e. to tell advertisers how many people saw their ad or total number of times a post has been liked or disliked.

 

How we protect your information

We take measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. We use HTTPS while your information is being transmitted. We also enforce strict access control to limit which systems or employees have access to your personal information. You can further improve the security to your account by choosing a strong and unique password.

We retain the information we collect for as long as it is needed for the purposes for which it was originally gathered. We may also keep certain information for legitimate business reasons or if we believe it is required by applicable law. For instance, if you violate our policies and your account is suspended or banned, we may store the identifiers used to create the account to prevent you from opening new accounts.

 

Your rights and choices

You have options to protect and limit the collection, use and sharing of your information when using our Services. You have the right to correct your personal information or withdraw previously given consent for processing.

You have the right to get a copy of all personal information, content, and other information we may have stored about your account at your request. Please note that it may take up to 30 days for you to receive a copy of this information. The copy will be sent to the e-mail address you have provided during registration or under your account settings.

You have the right to delete your account through the Account Settings, and all personal information and published content will be deleted from our Services. After you have submitted a request for account deletion, it may take up to 30 days for the deletion to take effect.

With your consent, we may send push notifications or alerts to your mobile device. Notifications may include friend requests, chat requests from strangers, comments on your published content, chat messages etc. You can change notification settings in the Account Settings or on the notification settings on your mobile device.

You have the option to control how we use your location by turning off location settings in the Settings menu or via your location settings on your device.

 

International data transfers

CicleGab AS is located in Norway, and we store and process data on our servers in France. We may also store information on servers and equipment in other countries depending on a variety of factors, including the locations of our users and service providers. When using our Services, you consent to the processing, transfer and storage of information in and to France and other countries.

When transferring the personal data of users in the EEA, UK, and/or Switzerland, we rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or other transfer mechanisms considered ‘adequate’ under applicable laws.

 

Children

Children under the age of 15 may not create an account or otherwise use our Services. If you are located in a country where an age restriction is mandated by law, you have an obligation to fulfill the laws given by the government in question.

 

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will update the date of which the policy will take effect. If we make significant changes, we may also notify you by sending an email to the address linked to your account or through other means via our Services. We recommend reviewing the Privacy Policy regularly to stay informed about our data practices and how you can protect your privacy. By continuing to use our Services after the changes take effect, you agree to the revised policy.
